| Joanna Hirschi Bonnheim Wichita Falls area certified yoga instructor for eight years, member of the International Yoga Association. Classes are mixed-levels with attention to strength, flexibility, and relaxation. My teaching style is a blend drawn from several styles of yoga. In each class I try to create an environment for meditation in motion with fluid movement, breath work, and time for reflection. Classes are $6 per class or $35 by the calendar month, unlimited. Trained with YogaFit®, I incorporate styles from the hatha yoga tradition, stressing balance, strength, flexibility, and proper breathing techniques. Yoga is a versatile practice that can aid its students' physical and mental health, enhance exercise routines, help with focus and function, and endless other benefits. Anyone can do yoga, as it is a practice one attunes to his or her body and ability, and all who are of high school age or older are welcome (and encouraged!) to participate. Saturday morning classes are an additional half hour and include a guided meditation; on a more intermediate level, these classes are recommended for students accustomed to yoga, but anyone comfortable with the routine may attend. Saturday classes are $8 per class; Weekday classes are $6 per class. | | Ana Dowell I began my yoga journey in attempt to complement my lifestyle as a young, competitive swimmer. Originally, the purpose of my yoga practice was to strengthen weak joints, gain attention and focus more precisely, however, it quickly became so much more. This journey with yoga took me all the way through college, as a Division-I swimmer, allowing me to compete at the highest levels of athletics while remaining diligently focused and calm. After college, my practice kept me driven and balanced during the rigors of graduate school. I quickly began to acknowledge all of the things that had manifested in my life, in large part due to yoga, and recognized that I wanted to be able to share the beauty and the benefits of practicing and I have been teaching yoga ever since! Through teaching, my main goal is to guide individuals in their own graceful journey, while encouraging love, light and awareness. Teaching different styles of yoga that focus on breath and conscious movement has been a remarkable addition to my life. Each time I have the opportunity to watch my students as they transform their life’s journey, it serves as unending inspiration. Come flow with me and experience the benefits of yoga. Classes are $6 per class. | |
