New to yoga?  Here are a few tips for your first class:

  • Dress comfortably.  Wear something you can easily move around in.  Layers are great as your body temperature will likely change throughout the class.
  • Expect to take your shoes off!  Socks are okay but bare feet are best (you'll have better traction).
  • Don't eat a big meal within an hour before class, but don't come too hungry either.  A small snack will keep you going without making your stomach uncomfortably full during class.
  • Plan to show up 10-15 minutes early so that you can get signed in and settled before class starts.  You will find the experienced members of class do the same. 

 

Breathe Yoga Studio is a green business!  We use non-toxic cleaning products and only plant-based candles and essential oils, no perfumes or artificial fragrances.  You'll notice you're breathing more easily the moment you walk in the door!  Wherever possible we use sustainable or recycled props and accessories and support our community by buying locally.  Check out the hand-made and one-of-a-kind artwork, music, instruments and toys from a selection of local artists as well as beautiful cotton yoga mats in a variety of colors and styles!
